Medieval Association of the Pacific 2016 Conference

For its 50th anniversary, the conference will take place March 31st-April 2nd, 2016 at the site of its first meeting, the University of California, Davis.

The theme of the conference is "A Global Middle Ages". Our plenary talks will be "A Global Middle Ages: Genetic Connections" by Professor Monica Green (Arizona State University), and "Jews and Other Non-Christians in Late Medieval England: By Report and in Person" by Professor Andy Kelly (English, UCLA).

MAP invites paper submissions. Please see the call for papers for more details and directions. Proposals are due by October 30, 2015. Applicants will hear back by November 15th, 2015.

2016 Annual Meeting of the JSMES

The 2016 annual meeting of the Japan Society for Medieval European Studies will be held on 11th and 12th of June 2016 at Tohoku University in Sendai. The Program Committee invites proposals for papers (30 minutes in Japanese or English) on topics of medieval studies. Any member of the JSMES (or Medieval Association of the Pacific) may submit a paper proposal.
