The Medieval Association of the Pacific hosts an annual conference, typically held in the spring, with the objective of bringing together scholars of the global medieval world representing a range of disciplines and career stages, from graduate students to senior scholars.
MAP supports participation in its annual conference in two ways: through the John F. Benton Award, which offers travel support for up to three MAP members with demonstrated financial need who are participating in the MAP annual conference or another relevant conference; and through the Founder's Prize, which recognizes up to three graduate student papers delivered at the conference. For additional information, visit the Grants page.
MAP's next conference will be held 16–18 March 2017, on the campus of Loyola Marymount University in Los Angeles. A special Saturday evening event will be held at the J. Paul Getty Museum in Brentwood. The call for papers is now available: CFP - MAP 51st Annual Conference - LA March 2017
